Lancet Commission report 2024 indicates even stronger links between lifestyle and dementia risk<\/strong><\/h3>\n

On 31 July 2024, the Lancet Commission on Dementia prevention, intervention, and care published an update to its 2020 report.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2024 update indicates an increased estimation of dementia attributable to modifiable risk factors from 40% to 45%. The Commission has also identified two new modifiable risk factors, vision loss and high LDL cholesterol, increasing the number of modifiable risk factors from 12 to 14.<\/p>\n
