FBHI, in collaboration with a team of expert dieticians, has crafted a 32-page brochure containing advice on nutrition practices to support brain health. The brochure, currently only available in Swedish, is entitled ‘Bra mat for hjärnan’, which translates as ‘Good food for the brain’. Based on the wealth of research into the link between health and diet, and in keeping with FBHI’s core message of lifestyle changes to promote healthy aging, the brochure aims to support individuals in making informed choices about their diet.

The brochure contains explanations on the link between brain health and diet; discusses the various aspects of nutrition, such as vitamins and antioxidants, which can help support brain health, and in which foods to find them; and contains a number of easy-to-follow recipes and examples of meals for the reader to make at home.

Paper copies of the brochure will be provided to patients and their relatives who attend memory screenings at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna and Huddinge, Sweden.
