Results from Randomized Control Trials on antihypertensives, lipid-lowering medications, and diabetes treatments will be presented, along with findings from multidomain interventions such as the FINGER study.

The article presents evidence from trials of vascular risk factor treatment on cognitive outcomes and dementia. We address “Professor Kivipelto and I recently had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with world-renowned experts Professor Kristine Yaffe and Dr Tina D. Hoang from the University of California, San Francisco. Our article on Trials and Treatments for Vascular Brain Health was recently published in Stroke and I was delighted to be given the opportunity to talk about this topic at the International Stroke Conference. Promoting healthy brain aging and finding methods to prevent cognitive decline and dementia is an urgent priority.”
