Looking back at AAIC 2023 in Amsterdam, we are happy for the fantastic opportunities for our teams to share their latest findings, and for all the interesting conversations and presentations we took part of!
A top highlight was of course the World-Wide FINGERS network meeting, arranged together with Alzheimer’s Association in connection with the conference. Over 100 network member representatives attended in person and several joined online – a great opportunity to meet and share experiences and insights. The World-Wide FINGERS network has been growing steadily since it was established in 2017 and now includes research teams from 60 countries around the world.
FBHI and the Nordic Brain Network team were happy to share the following findings during AAIC:
- The role of nutrition and metabolic regulations in multidomain trials för dementia risk reduction: findings from FINGER and FINGER 2.0 studies (Miia Kivipelto, presentation in Featured Research Session)
- Impact of genetic risk in multidomain lifestyle preventive interventions (Alina Solomon, presentation in Featured Research Session)
- Psycho-social impact of the diagnostic work-up at a specialized, fast-track memory clinic (Alara Abaci, poster)
